About me

I am passionate about creating human-centered digital experiences that are focused on solving real business problems. With a background in business and graphic design, I have helped companies build intuitive products from concept to development over the past 10 years.

I strongly believe in cross-functional collaboration, iterative development, and constant learning. I have experience assembling and leading cross-functional design teams following the Agile methodology for product development.

I am currently working as a lead product designer with the enterprise team at Coursera - a leading education platform that partners with top universities and organizations worldwide - helping define the product strategy and translate it into value-driven product solutions.

A few more facts about me:

1

I grew up on the central coast of Brasil and snorkeling in coral reefs was an activity that I took for granted as a kid.
I realize now how lucky I was and I miss it.

2

I moved to California after finishing college and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 13 years. I learned a lot during my time in San Francisco and I have awesome memories of my time living in the city.
(Update: I moved back to San Francisco in 2019)

3

I moved to Amsterdam in 2012 after finishing my master's degree. I have traveled to over 20 European countries ever since.

4

Besides having a master's degree in design, I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, which is unusual for a designer. I found that my business background helped a lot once I became a manager and started participating in more strategic discussions about product management.

5

About ¾ of the clothes I own are blue.
I noticed that a few years back and decided to embrace whatever subconscious trend I was developing instead of fighting it.
